<p>The <code>Accept-Encoding</code> header field can be used by user agents to
indicate what response content-codings are
acceptable in the response. An <code>identity</code> token is used as a synonym
for &quot;no encoding&quot; in order to communicate when no encoding is
preferred.</p>
